Our 2018 Season!

Next at Aris

In 2018 we return to the larger format of full productions with two beautiful works we know you'll love.

In Spring, Arís presents a dark comedy from Scotland, Iain Crichton Smith’s “Lazybed” (April 26-May13.) Linked by theme, structure, and a keen understanding of the human animal, we pair “Lazybed” with a staged reading of “Woman and Scarecrow” by Marina Carr (May 7.)

Fall 2018 marks the centenary observance of Armistice Day, the end of “The War To End All Wars”, WWI. Aris commemorates this historical moment with a production of ”Not About Heroes” by Stephen MacDonald, a tender, touching play of soldiers and poets. For more WWI theatre, we offer a staged reading of W. Somerset Maugham’s rarely seen “Home and Beauty”.

And we’ll kick off the year with our annual Burns Night celebration on January 25!

Details on dates and venues still to come, so follow us on Facebook, and catch our newsletter so you get your Aris 2018.

And don't forget to join us for our Aris Christmas Special, coming in December.

Our thanks to you all. See you at the theatre!

Our Mission

Our mission is to bring the theatrical and literary traditions, mythology, and storytelling from and about Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and England to Atlanta. Aris presents full productions and staged readings of contemporary and classical plays. We celebrate annual events such as Burns Night and Bloomsday. We participate in other events that feature the literature, poetry, and music of the British Isles. Aris is committed to breathing fresh life into timeless classics as well as introducing our audience to the work of new and emerging contemporary playwrights.
