Arís Theatre is proud to announce their production of Harold Pinter’s classic play The Birthday Party at 7 Stages Back Space opening on October 2, 2026 and closing on October 11.

Set in a rundown English seaside boarding house, Stanley is visited on his birthday by two mysterious guests, who push him to the edge of sanity and us to the edges of reality. This classic of British theatre is darkly comic and deeply unsettling. Pinter shows us how unstable truth can be, and how joyful and charming, how controlling and malevolent people can be without motivation or reason. The most joyful of occasions is turned into a nightmare. This pioneering comedy of menace is one of the most important plays of 20th century British theatre by its finest playwriting Nobel laureate.
